Accident or 3rd Party damage Report

In the event of an accident or third-party damage, first ensure that you and everyone involved are safe. For emergencies, call 111 for Police or Ambulance services.

Once you are in a safe location, please follow these steps:

  • Notify the Police if the accident involves any injury.
  • Prepare a written statement of the incident signed by all parties. Obtain a copy of the Police report.
  • Do not admit liability, as this may affect your insurance cover.
  • If you have a camera or smartphone, take photographs of all vehicles involved and the accident scene. This will assist Kiwi Car Rental in assessing the damage and processing any claim.
  • Collect third-party details, including full name, email address, driver’s licence number, vehicle registration, insurance company name, and photographs of the damage to both vehicles.
  • convenient, email all relevant information to info@kiwicarrental.co.nz with the subject line including the vehicle registration number or your booking number.

If you are unsure about any step, please contact the Kiwi Car Rental team for assistance.
